I grew up in Mesa Arizona and attended Arizona State Univeristy, where I met my husband who is a Colorado native. I have taught kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade. I have been teaching for over 25 years.
I am married and have two wonderful children and one long dog! My daughter, Chloe, teaches 6th grade here at Flagstone. She got married this summer and is now Mrs. Welsh. My son, Cade, graduated from CSU in May with a degree in Landscape Architecture. Our lovable long dog, is named Louie.
I am excited to teach at Flagstone Elementary again this year! I grew up in Lehi, Utah and went to college at Brigham Young University. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
I taught second grade for five years in Utah before moving to Wyoming and staying home to raise my three kids. My family moved to Colorado in 2018. As a family we love to go camping, paddle boarding, off roading and just hanging out together. In my spare time I love to read, bake and run.
I taught Pre K for two years at Adventure Club Preschool before coming back to full time teaching when my youngest went to kindergarten. I am excited to begin my 13th year of teaching this August! This is going to be a great year!
In May I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Special Education.
My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels valued, challenged, and excited to learn. I believe in building strong relationships, encouraging curiosity, and helping each child grow both academically and personally.
When I’m not teaching, I love cheering on the Yankees, listening to Taylor Swift, fishing, reading, and bedazzling just about anything! I also have a cat named Sabby, who you’ll definitely hear stories about throughout the year.
I can’t wait to partner with you to make this a fun, exciting, and successful year of learning!
