I am so excited for this year and can't wait to learn and explore with your child. This is my 13th year teaching. I have taught Kindergarten for 5 years and this is my 8th year in 1st grade! I love the Flagstone community and all the other wonderful teachers and staff at this school!
My husband Josh and I have been married for eleven years. We have two sweet daughters, Charlotte, who is five and a half and Kacey who is 2 years old.
During my free time I love to spend time with my family, play with Charlotte and Kacey, make cards and tags for holidays, exercise, watch movies, be outdoors, cheer on the Broncos, and go shopping.
I graduated in May 2014 from Concordia University-NE with my B.S. in Elementary Education and a concentration in Early Childhood Education.
My goal is to create a positive and engaging classroom environment that increases your child's emotional, mental, physical and social well being while fostering a love for learning. I hope to build a unique relationship with each child and help them become kind and enthusiastic people who are independent, life-long learners that crave knowledge and never stop being curious about our world.
I am new to First Grade and to Flagstone this year, but I am not new to teaching. This will be my 9th year of teaching. I taught Kindergarten for 4 years and Second Grade for 4 years. I am so grateful I get to join the Flagstone community!
My husband, Dan, and I recently got married. We have one dog, named Oakley. During my free time, I love to spend time doing activities outside. I love to walk/ run with Oakley, hike, and ski. My favorite sports teams are the Broncos and Avalanche.
I graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology and Elementary Education. I also have a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction.
I want your child to feel safe and valued in my classroom. I strive to build meaningful connections with every student, encouraging them to grow into compassionate, confident, and independent individuals who embrace curiosity, value learning, and continue seeking knowledge throughout their lives.
