I’ve been teaching since 2020 and joined the Flagstone family in 2022. I love building strong relationships with students and families and creating a classroom where every child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn.
I grew up in Littleton, Colorado, and earned my bachelor’s degree in Music Education from St. Olaf College, followed by my Master’s in Teaching from the University of Northern Colorado.
At home, I’m married to my high school sweetheart, AJ, and we have two children, Matthew and Ellen. Our days are filled with playground trips, library visits, and lots of coffee! In my free time, I enjoy paddle boarding, hiking, reading, walking the dogs, and spending time with family and friends.
I attended Colorado State University (Go Rams!) where I received my B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies. I continued my education at the University of Colorado Denver where I received my M.A. in Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in special education. I am in my tenth year of teaching and have spent time in Douglas County’s Early Childhood program as an early childhood special education teacher and as a kindergarten teacher for the last five.
I am a Colorado native and have attended Douglas County Schools since kindergarten. I live in Parker with my husband and we will be celebrating our sixth year of marriage this September. When I am not teaching I love to be outside. We enjoy going to the mountains and often spend weekends in the Winter Park area where we enjoy hiking, fishing, exploring lakes, and relaxing.
It’s going to be a fun year with lots of learning, friendships, and new adventures. I am excited to build relationships and create a place where your child will feel safe and comfortable taking risks and growing socially, emotionally, and academically. I can’t wait to become a little family!
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Montana, graduating Cum Laude in Fall 2022. Most recently, I completed my Master’s Degree in Social and Emotional Learning from National University.
I am originally from Missoula, Montana, and moved to Colorado three years ago. In July 2025, I married my husband, and we are enjoying our first year of marriage. I love spending time outdoors—hiking, golfing, cycling, and playing tennis are some of my favorite activities. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places. At home, I take pride in caring for my plants and spending time with my cat, Tinkerbell.
In my classroom, I strive to create a positive, inclusive environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I encourage my students to think creatively, develop strong critical thinking skills, and build self-awareness and emotional regulation.
I also value family engagement and love welcoming parent volunteers into our classroom. I will be reaching out to set up opportunities for you to get involved. Open communication is very important to me, so I encourage parents to contact me anytime with questions or concerns.
