This will be my 13th year teaching, and my fourth in Douglas County. I have had the privilege of teaching in Texas, Arizona and Brighton, CO. I have taught 4th grade (one year), 5th grade (6 years) and 6th grade Language Arts (two years) and have loved all of the experiences that I have had. I am very excited to be back in a 6th grade classroom and teaching reading and writing together!
I am a Colorado native, though I took a little break to live in the desert for about 10 years. I have been back in Colorado for four years now and love being home! I have an (almost) 3 year old little girl named Evelyn. She is the sweetest and happiest little love. I am a HUGE Broncos fan and love going to and playing any kid of sport that I can. My husband Matt and I live In Castle Rock and love this community!
I went to the University of Wyoming (Go Pokes!) to get my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I then got my Master's degree in Social Emotional Learning, with a focus on trauma-informed teaching from National University.
This will be my fourth year teaching. I have been at Flagstone for my whole teaching career, and taught 4th grade. I am very excited to make the move up to 6th grade science and social studies this year!
Growing up right here in Parker, Colorado has made teaching in this community especially meaningful to me. One of the best parts of teaching at FSE is getting to work alongside my mom! My younger brother also recently graduated from Colorado State University this past May. I also got married this July, and fun fact: we got married on 7/11 Day, so now we get free Slurpees every year on our anniversary!
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, being outdoors, traveling, yoga, shopping, and spending time with my family and friends!
