I am very excited to be teaching 4th Grade this year. This will be my 14th year at Flagstone, and my first year in fourth grade. I look forward to building a relationship not only with the students in my classroom but also with their families. This year will be filled with learning, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime. I look forward to being a part of this journey with you and your child!

Teaching is truly my passion. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Eastern New Mexico University and later completed my Master's in Education with a focus on Literacy from Wayland Baptist University. These experiences have fueled my dedication to helping every student succeed.
This is my seventeenth year in education and my twelfth year here at FSE! Throughout my career, I’ve taught kindergarten through fourth grade, but fourth grade has a special place in my heart. I’m looking forward to an incredible year filled with learning, laughter, and memorable adventures. I can’t wait to partner with you to make this year the best it can be for your child!

This is my 16th year at Flagstone and 22nd year teaching. I have taught third grade through sixth grade. Teaching is my passion and I am looking forward to sharing this passion with your students. I have a Master’s Degree in Reading and I always strive to make sure every one of my students enjoys reading! I love to read and Read Aloud is one of my favorite parts of the day. I enjoy recommending books to students based on their interests. I also love to write and solve math problems in different ways. It is so fun to see all of the great writing pieces that come out of fourth grade!
I love the outdoors, running, hiking, skiing, and spending time with my family. I have a 15-year old, a 13-year-old, a 10-year-old, 3 labs, 2 cats, frogs, bearded dragons, Cayman crocodiles, chameleons, iguanas, geckos, salamanders, a ton of turtles, and many more! I live in Elizabeth with my family. This summer, I spent quality time with my family, ran Camp Invention, spent time outdoors, and hung out with the rest of my family in the Carolinas! We had a lot of fun swimming, visiting, and playing! Originally from Pennsylvania, I have been proud to call this beautiful state of Colorado my home since 1995! I hope that everyone had a great summer as well and that you are ready to come back to school. Please email me at: rasteppuhn@dcsdk12.org if you need to get in touch with me! I am so excited for this year and hope to build positive relationships with students and families by making connections, using humor, and having a caring classroom. I believe that all students are unique individuals and I always enjoy getting to know each one. When supported, all students can and will learn!
